The Galstaun Function Centre is a wonderful venue located in Frenchs Forest, which is part of the Sydney North Shore near the Northern Beaches, with Sydney City Views.
Officially opened in March 1982 as the Austral-Armenian Community Centre. Owned by The Austral-Armenian Association Inc. The hall was built to hold private functions ranging from Discos to Dinner Dance Fund Raising Events. The funds raised were used to provide community support for all Armenians, helping them integrate more easily into Australian society and culture.
It was in the early 2000’s the hall had a major renovation, a modernisation, and the building name was changed to the Galstaun Reception Centre, then renamed again in 2012 to the Galstaun Function Centre.
Due to recent flooding damage we are currently NOT able to offer the Function Hall for any functions or events.
The Function hall has a formal seating capacity of 200 or around 350 for cocktail style events, we can help you host nearly any type of Function, Party or Event you are planning. We NO LONGER accept birthday parties celebrating the ages of 16th through to 21st’s, but perhaps you are searching for a venue when arranging a Wedding Reception, or perhaps you have been searching for an easily accessible venue in the Northern Beaches where you can impress your special clients and make your employees feel valued during Corporate Events, Training Seminars and Business Meetings.
The Centre is located centrally around other European Community Centres, and behind us is the Ararat Reserve – a soccer oval provided and maintained by the Northern Beaches Council.
